The present issue of Santalka academic periodical comprises articles dealing with current problems in the realm of educology and linguistics. The articles present theoretical research data and generalized conclusions of pedagogical and methodological studies. The authors investigated linguistic theory and educological issues, their statements are based on detailed linguistic analysis and pedagogical and methodological experiment. The published articles make a valuable contribution both to linguistics and methods of language teaching. A great deal of useful methodical recommendations given in the articles may be successfully implemented into the practice of language teaching.

I hope that the articles published will attract linguists’ attention and inspire language teachers to creatively apply innovation methods thus improving academic performance.
