Concept of Term and Lexicographical Problems of Terminology
Abstract
This article discusses concept of term based both on theoretical assumptions and research performed by the author. Two main points are analysed: the definitive and nominative study of the term. The author draws the conclusion supported by the performed research that nominative standpoint better corresponds the nature of term. Such emphasis makes this research of great importance. The article hinges on the point how to use the right technical term as well as how general words become terms within a particular domain.
